Pilates, a unique mind - body exercise system, will improve

  • posture
  • core strength
  • flexibility
  • balance
  • coordination
  • breathing

You will look and feel better.  And yes, you will have a flatter stomach, but the benefits of Pilates go well beyond a flat stomach, and there is more to core strength than abdominals!

I teach Pilates on a one to one basis.

Each lesson is individually tailored to your needs.  You will learn correct technique, to use the right muscles, and make rapid progress.

Pilates is gentle, non aerobic, and is appropriate for people of any age and physical condition, from the very fit young to older folks with the chronic aches of arthritis or other problems.  Pilates is safe, yet effective, and will not cause the strains and injuries that sometimes result from other types of exercise or sports.  Pilates is beneficial during pregnancy or rehabilitation.  It will enhance sports technique or other physical pursuits.

I have a special interest, and expertise in

  • back/neck problems
  • Repetitive Strain Injury
  • postural problems.
  • functional applications, for example, sitting at a computer or a piano
  • osteoporosis
